Louis Brown serves as the Executive Director of the Christ Medicus Foundation (CMF), a Catholic health care nonprofit whose mission is to share the healing love of Jesus Christ through defending religious freedom and advancing Catholic health care. Brown received a Juris Doctorate from Howard University School of Law. He first worked in private law practice. He went on to serve as associate director, social concerns, for a state Catholic conference. Thereafter, Brown began serving as a U.S. Congressman’s legislative counsel and his liaison to the House Committee on the Judiciary. In 2014, Brown first joined CMF and successfully launched its Catholic health care option, CMF CURO. In 2017, Brown joined the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) in Washington, D.C. where he enforced federal civil rights laws to protect patients and human service recipients. He returned to CMF in 2019.
